Religious Trauma & Faith Deconstruction Support NovoNexus
Leaving Mormonism—or another high-control religion—doesn’t automatically make you feel free.
NovoNexus offers trauma-aware therapy, education, and community for people navigating religious deconstruction and rebuilding a life that feels like their own.
Therapy available to Utah residents. Coaching, groups, and educational resources available more broadly.
Leaving was one decision. Rebuilding is a much longer process.
You may know what you no longer believe—but still feel unsure who you are without it.
Religious deconstruction can affect your identity, relationships, sexuality, parenting, values, nervous system, and sense of belonging. You do not have to reconstruct everything alone.

Why Megan?
Support from someone who understands the system—not just the symptoms
I’m Megan Verno, MS, CMHC, a Utah therapist specializing in religious deconstruction, religious trauma, identity reconstruction, and the patterns high-control religion can leave behind.
I’m trained in EMDR, IFS and use several other trauma-informed modalities.
My expertise is enhanced by my personal experience of going through my own religious deconstruction from the LDS Faith over 15 years ago.
I empathize, and I get it. I have also worked to recover from religion and rebuild an identity outside it. That lived understanding informs the compassionate support I offer as you find your own way forward—wherever that path may lead.
You don’t have to know exactly what kind of support you need. Book a free fit call today.
